Went to see this at a local independent dealer today.

Just curious about the colour, not seen one before. It is lovely by the way.
Also has a Union Jack badge riveted on each front wing.
Dealer fit or an 'owner addition' ?

As I say just curious if anyone has any ideas. Dealer was no wiser than me.

Thanks all.

The badge is definitely an owner addition, no way a dealer would rivet anything to the bodywork.

BRG is sadly quite rare on F Type, really suits the shape of the car. From memory it was a standard colour, i.e. not an out of range SV colour.

BRG was an option really sparkles in the sunshine, the badges are definitely an owner addition.

Are the rivets actually real ? I suspect they may be fake with a simple adhesive pad behind the Union Jack

The badge is an add-on. Second hit on Google: https://www.berrybrookmorgan.co.uk/product/union-j...

You sure that's BRG and not Botanical Green?

Rivets definitely looked real to me.
The car was advertised as BRG so I assumed that's what it was. Either way it's a lovely colour on the car and looks spectacular in sunshine.

It was advertised as 1 owner and FSH; when I enquired further it became 2 owners, and a somewhat sketchy service history. Not seen a Jaguar dealer since it's PDI at 1 mile old.
No heated seats or powerful mirrors, the latter meaning it won't go through my garage door without manually folding them. It's a fat car!
A shame because it's a nice car in apparently good condition and the colour is gorgeous.
First one I've looked at though so will keep on looking. Very few over here in NI to choose from though, so a mainland trip is on the cards I think.

That lack of Jaguar Dealer Service History is hard to fathom . Not that I particularly rate them over the Independents but I would have expected at least one or two before the Owner drew the same conclusions I did .
You were wise to walk away . As soon as I saw those ridiculous badges I would have .

The badges don't bother me but the font on the front number plate is questionable - deduce the last owner was called Mr Byrne.

If the car checked out in all other respects I might have used the lack of history to get the price down.

Several of the cars on that dealer's forecourt have number plates with the same font, so possibly fitted by the dealer, not the previous keeper?
