Used S Type R - what to watch out for

I've wanted an S Tye R for ages and used ones are now coming into my price range. I'm picking up a July 02 model with 21k miles on Saturday .

It's black and fully loaded with just about everything!

I'm buying from a Jag main dealer and getting extended warranty so I reckon there shouldn't really be anything amiss but would appreciate any advice on anything in particular to watch out for.

Great choice, I love the S-type R, out of my price range, but I drove one recently and it is an incredible car. As for faults, I don't know, but if it's from a main dealer they will look after you. BTW post some pics when you get it please.

I too want an S Type R, but unlike you, the price may still be prohibitive for me. I think a V8 S Type may be better for me (first?!). Any good?

I am normally a coupe man, but with wife and 9 year old, 4 doors are a calling. Any advice as to whether the V8 S is gonna be exciting, as well as a motorway miler, and school carriage?
