2019 Golf GTI fuel consumption

Sounds a bit better than our M135i but not that much better and certainly less than the published figures.
I had a TT with the 230PS GTI engine back to back with an M135i. The Audi pretty consistently got 5-10mpg better in all scenarios, so I'd expect you'd see similar from a GTI. Big difference in tank mileage too as I'd frequently get less than 300 miles from the M135i for its 52 litres whereas the TT would do close to 400 miles from its 50 litres.I'm now in a Z4 M40i which is pretty much exactly in between those two for fuel consumption, but that probably doesn't help you

Sounds about right. drive the deal have a couple of Gtis available at a good price on their special offers page.
Looks like they've gone, what was the price and spec?Red 269xx
White was 299xx
2019 (post WLPT) GTI 245 DSG here, owned from new and now with 5500 miles on the clock...
Around town stop/start urban - 25-30mpg
Not paying attention to MPG and/or hanging around - 30-35mpg
On a 70+ long run - 40-45mpg
On a 50-70mph run - 45+mpg
Eco mode adds nothing to the car but 'coasting', which can be useful if there's no traffic and you're in a built up area, but that's rare in the UK.
I do a 170 mile trip 3-4 times a month (with the car in 'comfort' mode (DCC setting)) consisting of mainly motorway, and I regularly see these sorts of figures:

I have absolutely no regrets choosing the I over the D.
For balance, I used to have a 2016 1.4TSI (125ps) Golf Match Edition that was used as second car duties, and that saw very similar figures when used around town, and would hit 50-55mpg on a run, that was the only difference.

got a r estate too - so heavier than the gti
Around town in the snow I got my lowest at 24 mpg, I had my best run up to nottingham so lots of 50mph work on M1, that was 47 mpg.
Daily run is around the 30 mark, so in the GTI being lighter than the R estate without all the 4wd stuff, would expect probably a 2-3 mpg increase (which funnily enough depending on the missus next car I could be in a gti myself!)
