Apologies in advance, I’m sure there’s a thread on here that covers this question, but I can’t readily find it..............I need a new weekend toy to replace the TVR, looking at current prices a V8 is within budget, however I can’t help thinking I’d be better off saving the extra £5 - £10k and buy the V10. Question is, in the real world is there a noticeable difference in performance?

Quick answer is yes, 100 Bhp difference. Outright speed isn’t everything but a V8 isn’t much quicker than a hatchback these days. V10 is quick and sounds glorious. I think it’s worth the extra, Gen 1 V10 manual is the one to get .

Thanks a lot, that’s all I need to know, similar situation with the Tamora, pesky hatchbacks were always a challenge, the 4.5 Cerbera however was in a different league, if the V10 is at that level for speed and noise, which I’m sure it will be, then it’s definitely the one for me

I’d say V10.

I was in a similar position and thought if I’m going to go for it, I mad we’ll do it properly.

V10 all day every day and twice on Tuesday! I had a Cerbera 4.5 for 17 years, never ever thought I’d sell it but having bought a V10 Plus just found I wasn’t using the TVR, think difference between Tamora and Cerbera and multiply by a factor of 50. The difference in performance, handling, reliability is beyond compare, I was warned that I would fall out of love with the Cerbera, still find it hard to believe but the R8 is awesome and worth every penny 😀
