A6 (C7) occasional alarm triggering

Morning. Happy New Year!

Last night the alarm on my A6 went off, not being triggered by anything obvious. This last happened perhaps three months ago. Has anyone else had this problem?

I leased a 2.0TDI q before I bought this one, and had the same thing happen on that one too (also very occasionally).

The only thing I can think of is that it's happening after the car's been used for a very short journey after a few days of not being used.
