Is there a control module for the glow plugs?

I had similar issues with my Jeep Grande Cherokee. New controller and all was good.

No sure about control module though some folks have told me to change the temperature sensor?

It could be the engine coolant temperature (ECT) sensor.
I assume you have carried out a scan to se if there are any fault codes stored?
