Looking at trading in a 2017 Q7 for an SQ7 of the same year, on 22' wheels.
It's critical that the SQ7 does not sit higher than the standard car (which is on 20' wheels, though I'm not sure that makes a difference with tyre profiles?)

I have a garage that is height limited and had to swap out of a Merc GLS which is too tall, to the Q7. It just scrapes in with a roof rack, and needs sports suspension lowered in 'dynamic'.
Zero margin of error!

The SQ7 looks lower, but I can't find any specific stats, and it's a "click and collect" remote sale so need to be sure in advance.
Appreciate if anyone knows....

I’ve got an SQ7 on 22s, I can try to measure it if you like. It has the Dynamic suspension though so will sit at different heights depending on settings, and might be different from the normal air suspension.

It’s on its winter 21s at the moment but I’m switching over to the summers on Friday.

Any help?

Thanks for the offer, much appreciated
In the end, I managed to get the sales guy to compare on a video, and SQ7 is lower.
I’m picking it up next Friday...

Just for info - what winter tyre sizes do you use?
Do you swap wheels or just tyres? I generally use mine in winter, and with lockdown haven’t had summer tyres on in a year. 20” on standard car so I guess I will have to buy new ones for SQ

Cool, you will enjoy it I'm sure. Does it have the dynamics sports suspension?

I use the OE recommended winter tyre - Pirelli Scorpion Winter M+S 285/45 R20. I bought a set of Wheelworld WH27 (non Audi) alloys to go with them so I can swap them all over myself.

Same as you the winters didn't come off the car last year but it should get more of a runout this year hence swapping back.

Thanks, and yes, it seems fully loaded with extras, which was one of the attractions,

Planning to drive rather than fly with family this summer, then back on winters for trip to the Alps (hopefully!) next year
Will take a look at those wheels.

That's good, the dynamics sports suspension is a really key part of the SQ7 package but because it listed at about £6k, it was rarely specced and doesn't seem to be offered at all on the current model.

We take the SQ7 skiing in Europe on the winter tyres, it's very capable.

Same with us - unfortunately lockdown last year meant my current Q7 was stuck in parking at Geneva airport, from Feb - July!
