Octavia vRS v Superb Sport Line Plus
Discussion
Apologies if this has been asked before, had a good look through and couldn't see anything recent.
I'm looking to replace my A4 and have been intrigued by the Octavia and Superb. I've been swaying towards the Superb as I really like the look of the Sport Line model and it seems to come pretty well specced out but I'm struggling to find estates that tick all the boxes. On my hunt for a Superb, I've noticed some cracking deals on the Octavia - saw a 17 plate in meteor grey with low miles for a really cracking price and just wondered if anyone has any experience of both and what they preferred?
I'm looking at diesel, preferably DSG as 99% of my mileage is on the motorway so just looking for a comfortable cruiser that looks decent.
Cheers

We have a Superb Estate Sportline 190 in the family (not mine) bought 3 years ago and it's been a fantastic car, really superb
. It has a huge boot without folding the rear seats down and rear seat legroom is vast. Getting child seats in and out is easy as there is so much room. Lots of Alcantara inside and it does have a decent level of finishes and features. Externally it looks as good as an A4 or even better. So far, it's been excellent.

Mines on 18 inch Gemini alloy wheels and Michelin Pilot Sport 4 225/40 R18. Comfortable all the way up and back from Cornwall, in all around 10 hours of driving, the seats are ideal for me. My cars a petrol vRS and on this trip I averaged 40 mpg/7 l per 100 km. And I’ve rarely felt it’s lacked performance when I wanted it.
