Im about to press the trigger on a 2108 S3 Saloon with 44,000 miles from a Mercedes dealer, they took the car in part ex.
I am trying to find out what the service intervals should be, and if there are any special services like the 4 wheel drive system, etc that should have been done.
Also be interested if there are any generic faults that I should be looking out for, thanks in advance for any advice you can offer.

Oil every 10, oil and inspection every 20.
Longlife would let you go up to 20 between services but generally only recommended for motorway use and high annual mileages.
Haldex oil (rear diff) every 3 but a good idea to remove the pump and clean gauze whilst it's being worked on. The gauze blocks and kills the pump.
Stronic gearbox oil is 75k on facelift cars.
Sparks due at 40k.

They're pretty much bullet proof, I put 30k hard miles on mine in two years which was new in March 18, I had no issues whatsoever. Michelin PS4's transformed the wet handling and ride quality over the O.E Pirellis. I've since bought and RS3 which to date has been problematic with engine electrical issues and spent many weeks with Audi.
