Golf GT TDI / TSI – Is mileage an issue? 2015+
Discussion
Hi
I'm looking to buy a used Golf GT and they seem to all be of above average mileage.
I guess the fact they hold their value indicates high mileage on a properly serviced car is less of an issue.
Main thing I've had diesels for over 20 years and was looking at getting the 150 TDI but anyone have experience of the 1.4 TSI?
Thanks

I have the 1.4TSi engine in a 2018 Seat Leon FR. Its the 150hp version. A great engine. I also have the 7-speed DSG.
I test drove a 2017 Golf GT with the same engine but the Leon was better value for money & better equipped.
The Leon feels noticably faster than the 2-litre 160hp Civic Type-S I once owned. 184lbft torque against the Civic's 134 definitely helps there; & max torque is nearer 2000rpm rather than the Civic's 4200. Also better mpg - 45 against 33.
Finaly 70mph is just over 2000rpm rather than the Civic's 3200.
