Worth upgrading bulbs in OEM Xenon headlights?

Xenon bulbs lose their brightness over time and often turn pink just before failing. If the bulbs really are 15 years old then I'm sure you would benefit from a noticeable improvement after replacing them. Some Audis are prone to clouded headlight units which can make a big difference too.
