Morning,

I have a 20 plate Golf with Active Cruise Control.

Whilst the system is clever i don't like it, it sometimes catches vehicles in the lane to you left and slows you down and if the car in front is driving slower without realising so you are.

Can you turn it off so you just have "normal" cruise control ?

I have managed to turn of lane assist, crossing the white line to pass a cyclist suddenly has the car trying to push you back into them, but couldn't find anything in the menu for ACC.

Thanks

Dr G

No, and doing so may be/prove a grey area legally.

Have your wheel alignment checked then ACC calibrated. Catching cars out of lane can be a sign it's slightly out of adjustment.

Widely reported software bug.................!!

vehicle thinks it a LHD in Germany.................
and does this to prevent undertaking................
also tends to read MPH speed signs as KPH and brakes the car.................

Turning off Eco-Assist apparently helps the unwanted slowing down of vehicle................

I was sure I could turn it off in my Golf R 7.5 Estate. I don't have it anymore so I cant check but this video from the US explains how to do it.
