With my current leased Citroen c3 Aircross lease coming to an end, I’m looking at next vehicle.

A Jetta seems like a good alternative to a golf, seen one in the approved used scheme for £10k. It’s a 2015 reg with 40,000 miles, 1.4 petrol dsg.

I wondered if that seems a reasonable deal in the current climate. Also any thoughts on this compared to a Fabia estates, I could probably get one a bit newer for the same money.

I’ve discounted the Octavia due to finding it to have high levels of road noise.

I’d welcome any thoughts!

Many thanks,

David

David, tbh my initial reaction was 10k for a 1.4 Jetta that's 6 years old?!

But then I've just spent 6k+ rebuilding a 10 year old golf so what do I know! (GTi though innit)

Actually I agree. But I’m finding it hard to find reasonably priced 3 -year old family car around £10k!

Having had a quick look - your actually right. I've never purchased a car from a dealer (or any car over 10k) so this is not my forte as such.

I've always repaired or bought damaged repaired. I know covid/Brexit etc and we have a whole thread on price increases - but still am a bit shocked.

Car prices have really gone up even for the normal stuff. Good luck with your search. If it was me, a low mileage damaged car - however that path is so much headache sometimes (trust me I know).
