A6 Fuel flap wont latch

Hi All, my 2016 AllRoad fuel flap is frustrating me these days, by not securing on the latch :



I used to fiddle a little and it latched, but now it is a 95% not taking the latch.

Any tips and fixes?

I’ll assume it’s the same part as my old Golf- common issue on them and not too difficult to replace apparently.

Mine only used to play up in colder weather though on the whole so lived with it.

It’s just the plunger part which fails.

Do the surround too; they can be removed without breaking if you're careful but replacement is recommended.

I did mine without changing the surround, fitted this from Amazon.
