Q3 gearbox 1.5 auto sportback

Got this message in my dash
Car has 8 weeks left on lease I was going to replace like for like ,
I’m in Glasgow and can’t be a garage to 9th January . Any advice would be appreciate

The message says
Gearbox malfunction No reverse gear. You can continue driving
Yellow triangle which turns red also

Gear selector switch error. Common. There's a repair kit for it.

Light usually comes on and off, car is safe to drive.
