Replica Alloy Wheels
Discussion
Hi,
I have an A4 B6 Avant with the standard 17" star alloy wheels. I've been considering upgrading for a while to a set of 18" RS4 or RS6 replicas. I'm concerned about the quality of the various places (on ebay) where they are most easy to come by.
Does anyone have a recommendation of which of these places sells a better quality wheel, or any experiences of these types of places? I need the wheels to be vaguely robust as I do 20K+ miles per year.
Thanks
R

If you have a low powered A4 and rarely go above 100mph I would think you would be ok, if you go to mainland europe and do 140mph + a lot, then don't risk it. IMHO
Agreed. If it's a serious car - no. Tart up the daily hack? Why not indeed. I put 18"s on the A6.
Try and get Euro ones if poss - Italian or German. Some of the Chinese type ones can have a horid finish, may bubble up and flake and I'm told are heavier and not as strong.
