Hi mate, good choisce of tuner there. They did my A3 and it flies!! If you're getting a custom map, do all your mods first.
Regarding price, I doubt you'll get anybody to give you a mate's rate, especially if you're not actually a mate! It's probably more than their job's worth, and with no gain for themselves. If that were the case everybody would be doing it.
TBH your best bet is either to get in on a group buy, or organise one yourself.
