Hi, i'm looking to buy an Audi A3 1.9 Tdi in the next few months.
Was wondering if there are any particluar problems to look out for when buying one?
Also what are prices like for servicing?
Finally how much would i be looking to pay for one about a 2004 model with less than 40k miles on the clock. Seen quite a few for under £11k. Is this about right?

Thanks

No, they're not cheap. On some VAG cars it requires quite a lot of component removal - others its easy - even with the same engine. My old A6 1.8T vs. our old TT 1.8T for example.

Petrol 1.8T model cambelt change was 80k, then 115k (depends on year) in the manual. However, they seem to go anytime after 60k as some owners have found out the hard way. So I had ours done at 60k. I think the diseasel is around the same mileage.

Get one that's had it done!
