Thanks CLS.
I'm in Kent and I'd prefer to go to someone on recommendation if anyone knows of a good remap specialist?
I think I'm running on 75% power at the moment so I'll reset the ECU and see what it's like. Apparently the 225 does this if you don't stretch it's legs every now and again, I guess to reduce emmisions and boost fuel economy.

Well if you don't mind travelling then I can highly recommend MRC, http://www.mrctuning.com/aboutus.php in Banbury, Oxfordshire or QSTuning (MTM) http://www.qstuning.com/index.jsp in West Sussex. Both very good and highly reputable tuners.
If not then i'm sure Revo or Custom Code have dealers near you.

I know it's quite a long way away but I can highly recommend APS in Northamptonshire. Top quality service and good prices.

As CLS has said i have experienced both QST and MRC. Both excellent. I had a remapp on my S2 from MRC and they reached 281hp not bad from a car that is 230hp standard. The MTM chip is a generic upgrade which means its not custom basically. With MRC they will custom map it. Both great chips so its you choice.
PS: Where abouts in Kent are u, ill keep my eyes peeled.

Impossible Performance have a VERY good reputation among the 1.8T community. Sadly their location (in Kent) means they're not as widely used as the likes of Peterborough based Jabba.I'm in Kent and I'd prefer to go to someone on recommendation if anyone knows of a good remap specialist?

Their website is not the best but if you go with them you will not be disappointed.
There is more to a remap than the price. Power delivery on the I.P. remapped cars is silky smooth and they'll tweak and tweak and tweak until its just as you want it - even if it takes a few days for you to decide you'd like a tweak.
