See if you can get an extended test drive re the seats mate. I love them personally, but it seems to be one of the most common moans !
hmmmm, what else...
They do have a fair penchant for petrol and oil!!
mind you, if you've got a tuscan you won't mind that
!
There's not a lot else to try at the mo really, other than the obvious...M5 or new M3. Lots of PH is hugely BMW or AUDI, not many open to trying both without prejudice...if at all! I'm historically an audi fan too but will certainly try the new M3 with an open mind
Not really sure if Merc are there with a genuine competitor at the mo. I did drive an E55 AMG last weekend but didn't really like it

Buy one! Depending on what you read and where you read it, you may or may not be able to order a RHD RS4 saloon/avant, but there are a number of used/ex-demo/showroom cars around.
GSM phone prep on the dashboard is ugly, GSM phone prep in the armrest means you lose the flat-bottomed wheel (although in some countries you can apparently order the armrest phone prep with the flat-bottomed wheel). Tech pack (adaptive lights, satnav, 6CD autochanger) is desirable. Make sure whichever car you choose has had all the software updates (ECU/plenum chamber/TMC); avant is slightly subtler (is that a word?) and, perhaps, more desirable. Colours to go for are daytona grey, avus silver, mugello blue or black. You may wish to consider investing in a Tracker also.
You should take a look at http://www.rs246.com too - a wealth of information here.

Sorry - forgot the seats! Buckets are fantastic but you may find them impractical; trying to imagine getting in and out of the car when it's parked on an incline and that should help you make your mind up. Recaros are fully electric and perhaps have the edge on practicality, but you lose the inflatable side bolsters in "sport" mode.
Best be quick - there is no no more production for RS4 at all.
So it is only the cars that are on the ground now that you can pick from.
I've got a saloon in Phantom Black with buckets, an Avant in Mugello with Recaros and that's it!
No more now, and I suspect these last ones will be much sought after.
