2007 Audi A6, Squeely Brakes and Faulty CD changer

I have a 2007 A6 Le Mans (3.0 Tdi quattro). The rear brakes squeal like mad and audi have failed to fix them, do other cars do this?. Also the cd changer plays 2 secs of a tract pauses, then plays the next 2 seconds etc. Audi say this is due to a software fault and are awaiting a fix. This sounds like a rubbish excuse to me, again, has any one experienced this?

I have an '04 model (new style) and haven't had any of these issues at all. It's a 3.0Tdi as well.

That said, I know Audi have done several unpublished upgrades since mine was built.

Mine has just had a recall for a computer upgrade for the DIS apparently as well as a pulley bolt or something. Maybe the DIS is something to do with it. I know if I put too much stuff in the glovebox it presses on the CD unit when closed and comes up as an error.
