Hello all,
Has anyone come across the problem of the turbo not boosting when you put your foot down?
The reason being looking at buying the car but it has no go.(also the air bag light on,any patterns)
Any body come across this or know what the problem is ?

My A4 has the same engine and I had the same problem about a year or so ago. It seems that the turbo impellor "sticks" IIRC on engines of a certain age (mine was about 5 years old). Its not an unknown problem apparently. The problem was solved when the turbo was stripped cleaned and reassembled.

Where are you based? My problem was sorted by Roger Galvin at the quattro workshop near Lutterworth (J20 of M1).
