Greetings all. I am thinking of selling my current car which is a 1989 Porsche 911 Carerra 3.2 Sport and switching over to a Audi S4. I quite like the saloon cars post face lift (so 1999 onwards). I think they were called B5 shape.

I plan to use the car for quite a few miles / year (~30k). What is the fuel consumption like on motorways?

Any forums or information i should sign up to or read prior to a purchase?

What is the insurance like?

Cheers
Rav

I've driven one with uprated dampers (before & after) seems to make a big difference and doesn't even spoil the ride. Good car all the same.

This comment depends on what your budghet is however if you have the ability to I would consider a B6. I looked at B5's before buying my B6 and they are good cars, B6's are dynamically a lot better and the chain driven V8 means less engine maintenance where B5 2.7T would need cambelts and potentialy turbos replacing.
