GOLF MKIII VR6 - Suspension/Brakes
Discussion
Hi,
New to the forums, but it was recommended to me by a good friend. Basically, i`m in need of a new suspension and brake system (pads, calipers and discs) but i don`t have a clue where to start. I`m not particularly interested in coilovers because i`ll just let the car sit at the height it`s at (35mm lowered on springs) and i really don`t have a fortune to spend on this (insurance renewal)! I need a comfortable ride that handles as well as possible. So far i`ve been offered Bilstein and G-MAX, but i know nothing about either except the price!
Any help or expertise offered on the matter, i appreciate.
Thanks in advance!

Eibach springs & pro dampers, excellent set up, or use Koni adjustables in place of the Eibach dmpers & you can fiddle with the damping.
Brakes, 288 or 280? either way no real need to have new calipers as stock is fine, new OEM stuff is best really, with decent lines & fluid is a good set up. unless you are tracking then braided lines, race fluid & ferodo 2500s would be a good idea.

Thanks for the response. The reason i say i may need new calipers is because the ones i have are loose of the disc. What i mean by that is, they move independently and create all kinds of odd braking problems.
I`ve never heard anything about the Eibach shocks, all i keep being told is Eibach springs. Are they gas or oil?

Well they are built to match the springs so are ideal, gas 'I think' to be honest for the same money going koni is a better option really as they are adjustable. Gassing Station | Audi, Seat, Skoda & VW | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
