New Engine - VW Sharan 2.0 - What cost

A friend of mine has been told she needs a new engine in her 2.0 VW Sharan, what sort of price would you expect to pay for this to be supplied and fitted (recon unit)?

Also if anyone has any recommendations as to where to go to get this done in Hampshire/Berkshire/Surrey feel free to share!
