Mk 7 golf gti 2nd gear crunch

Hi , noticed today when moving into 2nd gear it was struggling and crunching , thought I’d maybe rushed the change but kept happening . Although on odd occasion it went it OK..

So used 1 to 3rd for journey ..

So looks like I’ll have to get it sorted , read that it’s probably 2nd gear synchro???

I’m in Leeds area if anyone knows someone trustworthy and competent to fix this for a fair price ??

What's the clutch like overall? How many miles on it?

They're fine if used sensible but won't take much abuse or careless use. Probably the first thing I'd look at, then drain a tiny a bit of gearbox oil and check for colour, smell, sparkles etc.
