Can anyone point me in direction of an Audi specialist not too far from Oxford? I bought an approved used Q7 last year and with the warranty over I don’t plan on having the main dealers do basic jobs. Need spark plugs which I’m not competent/brave enough to do myself so would love for someone to do it for a sensible price for me! Any help much appreciated. Cheers

Where in Oxon are you, theres not many unfortunately. I've used Pony Road VW Audi Specialist in Horspath, they are fine for routine servicing and things like brakes etc, but for more tricky stuff with EML codes and resolving fault diagnostics I didn't have a great experience. I've been using VRS in Northampton for my R32 and wife's Touareg and they have been brilliant but its 1hr drive from me in Witney.

I’m just at top of Banbury Road near cutteslowe park. Pony Road could be a goer- thank you! If not then Northamptonshire not too far in any case. Cheers!

TBH I've owned S/RS Audis for over 16 years and unless its's something that needs special tools or Software, any decent mechanic should be capable of sorting most stuff, to quote mine "it's only a car afterall". I have only needed a specialist Audi indie twice in that time, once to recharge the DRC and another to replace and recode sports diff sensors.

Another vote for Pony Road. I've used Dave and the team for many years for my old A6, wife's Tiguan and routine stuff on my S4 Avant, only going to S/RS specialists for big ticket jobs like supercharger.

With the proviso that you're lucky enough to have access to an unusually diligent mechanic. In my experience behind the scenes I see a lot of errors/omissions by general garages, and a worrying number from 'specialists'.

Renn Automotive in Iver probably too far for you, but they do all of my preparation work.
