Does anyone have experience of having their car serviced by Topcats Racing near Aylesbury? My Griff 500 needs a major service but I need to know that this outfit can be relied upon to do a good job

Thanks Chris. I usually like to take my Griff to TVR Power but want to find someone closer if possible. I will try Topcats and see what happens

Had 4 TVR’s serviced over the years at TC, always great work, not the cheapest, but also not the most expensive.

Easy to deal with & able to sort the difficult bits (speedo calibration), servicing mechanically never had an issue.

I’ve had very good experience with them working on my Griff. Very easy to deal with and quick to react when needed.

Not used them personally, but they come across as enthusiastic and knowledgeable. A few TVR friends use them and are happy with their service.

Used them a few times now, very impressed.

Always quick to respond to emails etc, and I like that they have a nice lounge area if you want to wait whilst smaller jobs are done (helpful if you aren't too local). I did this when my Chim had it's MOT done and engine mounts replaced recently- took my laptop, got plied with coffee, and had a chat with Warren about cars/racing whilst my TVR was being sorted downstairs. thumbup

They also went above & beyond the first time I went there, having called in on a whim just to get an opinion on a noise- over an hour of their time, a coolant system re-bleed, and a ton of useful information- without charge.

Happy (repeat) customer smile

All,
Thanks for your comments regarding servicing at Topcats. I've been pretty busy recently and haven't had the chance to get on here for a few days but I appreciate you all taking the time to give me the benefit of your experience and knowledge. Thanks again.

Where did the negative thread go? Somebody said 'stay away' or similar. I'm not involved but am sure a thread's been deleted.

They have a good reputation but somebody was a bit disgruntled, lol. No big deal I guess.

I used them for the first time this year .

I had a 12000k service and MOT on the Griff and so far everything is going well. Like another Specialist i've used in the past , it's in the middle of nowhere so take someone with you to give you a lift back. IT's a long walk back to the Bus stop. hehe

I'm after all opinions, good and not so good. It does look to me as though one post has been deleted but I don't know who by. Maybe it was the poster

Brought my Chimaera from Warren and used him for servicing. Nothing but good service.
