My new Bosch fuel pump came today to replace the original seized Lucas one, I then cut off the old spade connectors and soldered on the supplied ring terminals. I switched on the ignition and heard the pump prime : ) I then tried to start the car but it just kept winding.....my first thought was what else has blown !! .....ECU problem ?? What next etc.....I connected my inline spark tester and low and behold spark!! I then thought I’d check for fuel pressure and connected a gauge to the injector manifold...0 pressure !! Turned out that the large threaded terminal on the pump is the Earth and the smaller the Live, the opposite of the original pump!!!
Im sure that some of you were probably aware of this but it certainly caught me out!
I took the car for a test drive and everything seems back to normal although I’m positive that the car seems more powerful and responsive.???

They usually do that after you've spent money on them and/or hours working on them biggrin
