Hello fellow TVR owners
While getting my car MOT tested I notice on the testers computer screen my car is currently referred to as a TVR Griffith 500 even though it's a 1992 Precat. Griffith.
Once I returned home I checked the DVLA MOT checker site and there it states TVR Griffith 500.

Screen shot from DVLA MOT checker site.

Has anyone else had a similar experience?

Perhaps the registration number was transferred from one vehicle to another?....if you look at the MOT history it goes from 76500 miles to 2761 miles in 2011.

All MoT history follows from reg no to reg no. Only the car reg number changes. That mileage change was most likely due to a new speedometer.

The MoT data is whatever the tester types into it, it is often not correct. If you do a vehicle check here, it comes up correctly as a TVR Griffith with engine capacity 3952cc.

It still says it is MoT expired because it takes overnight for that particular 'vehicle check' database to update. But the MoT database itself updates almost immediately.

I has issues with incorrect data on my Cerbera and it was a right to and fro between departments because DVLA deal with tax and reg numbers whilst DVSA deal with MoTs and their data. frown They kept blaming each other and it took 6 weeks to sort it out.
