Door Speaker Recommendations

I’m getting Carl Baker to replace the head until and door speakers in my pre-cat (along with a new alarm and immobiliser).

I understand there aren’t many speakers that fit into a Griffith door aperture, does anyone have any recent recommendations for a pair of speakers that are still available?

Hello Mike,

I fitted a pair of Rockford Fosgate R1525X2 in my Chimaera door enclosures. They were a tad smaller, but did not look out of place.

Carl fitted ‘German Maestro’ as they are now called in mine, he supplies and recommended them.

Yes Carl suggested the Maestro's to me but they are expensive, I wondered if anyone had a cheaper alternative given I'm not looking for something with brilliant sound, the exhaust is good enough for most occasions

The original door pioneer speakers in my 95 Griff were bog standard 160mm. Nothing fancy with that size

JL Audio were always the ones to go for a few years ago, not sure if you can still get them.
