Removing driving/mainbeam lights, how?
Discussion
I have a cracked drivers/main beam light that I want to replace, how do I remove and refit? I've taken off the bottom mesh grill, there are a couple of plastic wing nuts on the back of the lamp housing, are these the fixings or just for adjustment?
There appear to be a couple of springs just by the lenses, what are these for?
Also replacements, where is the best place to get one? Any other options? Thanks.
Also, does a cracked/broken lens mean an MOT failure?

What year is your Griff? Mine’s a 92 & the driving lights are help in position by springs which you carefully lever to one side to release the whole lamp.
Yes, a crack is a MOT fail.... But haven’t MOTs got a 6 month grace period now?

Thanks, it's a 92 Griff. Hasn't had an MOT for a few years so I doubt I'll get away with the 6 months! I'll have a go at the springs and see how I get on. Yes, a crack is a MOT fail.... But haven’t MOTs got a 6 month grace period now?
