Hi All,

Ok, bought E38 Brembo calipers with Ford Focus 324mm discs and adapter kit, had 16" & 17" Cosworth diamond cut alloys but wheels definitely won't fit over calipers on the front.

I want to put these wheels on so can anyone advise me on what calipers and discs I can fit with these wheels.

Thanks

I think you can use that calliper and fit a 300mm disc (or thereabouts). Different adaptor plate / piece. Thread might be in the Chimp enclosure.

ETA: not surprised you want to keep the wheels. Really suit the Grief biggrin

Will 5mm spacers on the front allow the wheels to clear the calipers? Only way for 16 inch wheels to fit over these brakes.

No, tried 10mm and 15mm spacer, no chance the wheel will clear the caliper, catches on the step of the inner surface of the wheel.

Regular ford mondeo mk3 calipers will fit with a 300mm disc from a focus st170.

Sorry it's been a while for a reply, thanks for all the help everyone but think i will need to get some new wheels, the 16" Ford diamond cuts will not fit over the Brembo calipers which is a shame as they are really nice and suit the car, other 16" wheels will fit even the original Estorils.
For now i have put 17" all round until i decide on a new set, don't look right IMO as lost the staggered look front to rear plus rear wheel looks lost in the arch.

Got a hell of a lot of wheels now as a result 2 sets of 16" and 17" and my Estorils

I think that looks nice and when people sit in the car etc, the rear will be slightly lower anyway

I was toying with the ford 17”/16” 7 spokes a while back but the rears need to be 8j or 81/2j width to sit perfectly. Are rear estorils et30mm? You could put a 10mm spacer on for the rears.

Just a tyre width difference then. What size tyres have you fitted on the Ford wheels?
