V8 - ugly sound out of air intake
Discussion
Hey Folks,
first of all I apologize for any mistake in my writing, I am writing from Germany.
I've got a big problem.
Since the beginning of last year there has been a difficult to describe noise or sound from the air intake tract.
I could describe it as a hard slurp.
The best / loudest way to hear it is to stand in front of the car / air intake.
I also thought if there was a defective bearing, e.g. alternator.
But the noise remains, even if you remove the V-belt and so the alternator, water pump and servo pump do not turn.
The rubber hoses to the intake manifold seem also okay for me.
I suspect a leak in the intake tract.
Has anyone ever had such a problem?
I am grateful for every tip!
Best regards from Germany

Yes iv'e had that problem of an air leak due to the valley/intake gasket and i could just about hear it. If you get a stethoscope open to atmosphere at the end and probe round you might be able to pin point it.first of all I apologize for any mistake in my writing, I am writing from Germany.
