Hi, my horn has suddenly stopped working, if I press it it in I get no sound, but, on releasing the horn button I get a little short squeak, any ideas?

Possibly a loose connection on the horn push.

the carbon contactor under the top plastic cover on the steering column sometimes need a clean to restore good contact, it's right on top and easy to get to once the top cover has been removed

Thanks folks, just wondering how to take the steering wheel horn push out? I don’t want to break it, does it just prise out?

If I recall correctly, yes, it just comes out with a little encouragement. Push fit.

Mine started doing this, but before I got round to fixing it, it started working again normally.

Unbolt the steering wheel and clean around the metal ring that the makes contact to the sprung pin...... also check the cable have not come loose.... but more then likely needing a clean.

Just lever it out it is held in place with a spring clip.

Beware....the contacts inside are bare and the horn supply is permanent so as you gently lever it out and a terminal touches the wheel you will make yourself jump when the horn goes off.
Ask me how I know.

Just to be clear.....

Something was 'bare'
Touching was involved.
You got the horn.
You got jumpy.
