Hi

I own my 1997 Griffith 500 since roughly one year. I am highly pleased with it as it is a verx relaxed car: High torque, no stress as long as you are not exagerating .... I drive it on public roads only, so I do not think I have ever exceded 4'500 rpm ever. I want to keep my drivers licence.

Still, I would like to know, just out of curiosity:

At what revs is highest torque?

At what revs is highest power?

What are safe highest revs?

The engine is absolutely standard with 29'000 miles on the clock. It is a swiss edition car and therefore has - from what I hear - a more restricted exhaust system to make it more silent. Which costs power but that does not concern me.

Standard rev limiter is at 6,200 rpm
Maximum power is around 5,000 rpm
Maximum torque is at around 3,400 rpm

The last two can vary from car to car, and can be tuned to be different.
