Broken wing mirror
Discussion
I had the same issue several years ago and kept the broken parts.
Here is a photograph of the cast aluminium back part of the wingmirror with a 15mm whole in where part of the casting and a stud has been wrenched off. The next photo is of the aluminium post with the circular part still attached. It is the post that is designed to fail.
Finally a spare new post.
Hope this is of help.

Mine has broken on the hole which is shown complete on your picture. The cast stalk seems ok. Mine I think the plastic has just got brittle with age. My hulking doberman clonked it with his head and the mirror simply fell off Here is a photograph of the cast aluminium back part of the wingmirror with a 15mm whole in where part of the casting and a stud has been wrenched off. That’s right. All the support parts are Ali. Here is a photo of the part.

Here’s another showing the opening into which the repair piece fits.

I’ve not used this piece but as I see it you have to fold it to suit the frame then either glue, screw or rivet it into position.
Hope this helps.
Brian.
