Someone has nudged the rear of the car (97 Griff 500). A couple of minor marks which have come out with tcut but just noticed the offside rear light cluster has also been cracked. Ideally it would be good to replace it, even though they aren't readily available, but there seems to be various part numbers, my light clusters have part numbers 90307541 at the offside and 90307542 nearside. I understand that these are the tinted lenses but does anyone know if there are other part numbers which are the same? Fleabay has one that does look to be the same and that has a part number 90349095 (also said to be 12 23 130), but it might not be the same. (Where does the 12 23 130 show, my clusters don't have anything like that at all as far as I can see?)

One alternative for the time being would be to run a little glue into the crack (which is not too noticeable unless you know it is there), so any ideas re a suitable glue which wouldn't go everywhere and be unobtrusive??
Ideas appreciated!
Jim

Vauxhall Cavalier lights do appear on eBay, but the smoked ones (from the GSI and usually fitted to the 500) are rapidly becoming like rocking horse poo.

As far as I'm aware, the GSI lights are part numbers 90350308 and 90350309 for LH and RH.

There's a right hand one, here;

bks, I've just remembered that they're upside down on the Griffith, in which case you'll need a LH one. Sorry.

Thanks for that. I'm thinking that the glue idea is not a runner as it would inevitably be a little messy.
If anyone has a light cluster of the correct type or knows where there is one can you please let me know. (Here's hoping!)

Plastic model glue is very thin and as you can see has a fine needle applicator.
If you take the bulb holder out and use a piece of wood to press against the inside you can open the crack a little so the glue goes in. Leave until almost dry then remove any excess with a razor blade.

The glue with the handy looking nozzle could be an interesting option so will bear that in mind. In the meantime I am still on the hunt for the smoked rear lens .... (Here's hoping!)
One other thought would be to put on a pair of the none smoked ones which do seem to be more readily available. I see from some other old posts that some Griffs do now have those on but I don't remember seeing one - maybe I have but not noticed particularly if the lights weren't on. Has anyone experience re that alternative or even a picture?
As ever any thoughts appreciated!
Jim

Not sure if this is of any help. I've bought parts from the place before although I had them delivered to France.
