Anyone got a Leven half hood they want to part with? Alternatively anyone know how to source a new one given that Leven and PPC TVR are now no longer?

Sadly I can’t help you but you would think one of the better trimmer companies would come up with one by simply copying the original design or similar wink
In fact I think that’s now the way to go, get one made using a template is about your only option.
The truth is it’s better than the roof material for weather proofing so even at £500 it’s cheaper than constantly maintaining/ replacing tired roof material. It’s a saving as it keeps the car dry so carpets last longer! It all adds up.
This product is crying out for someone to re make it.
The problem is the price! But if you look at a Leven cover it’s real quality and should last a long old time. It’s actually worth it in my view as I had a new roof lining 10 years ago but never had a cover until recently, it’s very tired looking and constantly gets mucky if left anywhere near trees frown

Thanks for your thoughts. I think PPC TVR we’re knocking them out at c.£185 at the end in 2019

I got a custom covers RP121 cover for a Mazda MX5 for my Tuscan convertible for about £85 and its not a bad fit. Nowhere near as good as the Leven cover I have on the Chim but definitely better than nothing.

I need to go and see my local trimmers some time soon, and today would be a good idea.
I will ask them if they fancy making me a batch, as this comes up every other week.
I have one and can confirm they are the mutts nuts for keeping water out of the car and the rook in good condition if your car lives outside

My trimmer was at his other business 15 miles away this afternoon, so i will now be seeing him on Monday.
I will get back to you all as soon as I have something to say.

Sadly not the answer I wanted,
He looked at the hood cover and said £450-500 each, even if I ordered 20.
The materials alone would cost what Leven used to charge for the whole item.

So it’s back to watching the ads and Facebook, or buying an MX5 cover, chaps.

Sorry
