The engine bay was looking a little tired so have spent the last few weekends cleaning it all up. Repainted the rocker cover and chassis cleaned up all the alloy replaced the heat shield and wrapped the manifolds.
Must say I am pleased how it turned out

Just realised I should have put the clutch reservoir cover back on before taking pics "doe"

cheers Chris

I like that...very impressive. Did you spray the air flow meter or did you find something that cleans ali.? Are the power steering hoses from John Zubak? I've just bought a set and am really pleased with them.

Yes they from john. The air flow meter I cleaned in my blast cabinet with glass beads taking a lot of care to seal the ends up tightly before blasting.

I've never been a fan of the original purple 500 cylinder head covers. Would look so much smarter in black with blue magnacors. Nice and tidy though!

Becoming difficult to find these days, but the old cast TVR rocker covers look great

Chris when you wrapped the manifold are you not concerned about the extra heat build up in the engine?

Like the look, guess it reduces cabin temp but I have always hesitated through worry about the heat??

Thanks for the kind comments

Not to worried about the wrapping as it should reduce under bonnet temps although it will increase the temperature of the Y piece and the rest of the exhaust. Main reason for doing it was to try and stop bubbling of the paint on the inner wings but time will tel if it works out ok or not.
