Went to talke mine for a MoT a few weks ago and got all togged up (similar hat to Hoovers) and the bas**rd stalled at the end of the drive. Could restart but kjept dying so give up. Tried to get the stepper off and broke it and it was stuck in the housing. Luckily had a spare housing and stepper so changed it but had to take the plenum off - what a bh of a job as its so close to the bulkhead its nigh on impossible to get it off.
Pushed back in gaareg and give up - bloody car. Mot now expired.

I've taken the plenum off mine only once and vowed never to bother again unless I really really have to.
I've had a plenum spacer for 2 years now and it's still no nearer being fitted than the day it was made,

Top marks go to Hoov. I'd take my hat off to you but it's too ruddy cold..
