I have a pre-cat griff that is leaking water at the seals at the top of the windows. Later griffs have seals which slide into metal channels at the roof's edge. Is it possible to convert my channel-less roof to this design. Are the metal channels available and is it an easy fix or should I leave it to the professionals.
Any advice appreciated.

Just finished this job yesterday! Its a doddle, the bits you need are referred to as mk2 targa seals, you need 2metres of the seal itself, a pair of spacers and a pair of seal carriers.

I got mine from Racetech, other TVR specialists carry them too.

Thanks for speedy reply. Did you get an improved seal? I have found the bits on the Racetech site. How do the carriers/spacers fix to the roof?

Definite improvement - one of the old ones was hanging off biglaugh

The seal holder and spacer bars are pre drilled, just put a pilot hole into the targa section and use self tappers.
I put some sealant along the inside and outside edges where the strips meet the roof. Probably unnecessary, but keeps it tidy and fully watertight if I get carried away with the power washer!

My targa panel had a slight curve so first screw went into the middle of the rails to ensure they were following the curve before drilling and fixing the ends.
