Started the Griff for the first time in 5 months, fired up straight away; I left it running in the garage for maybe 15 minutes but the temp never reached "fan switch-on" and stayed around 70'. I am a bit surprised even considering the low outside temp. Any thoughts guys?

Your best to start up you car and drive off at a normal pace until it reaches normal temp.
Starting your car and leaving it running is doing it no good at all, infact your shortening the life of the engine,
It's washing all the oil off the bores on choke,
Hope this helps regards Goldie

Thanks Stuart, I did sit in it and varied the throttle position but as I haven't taxed it yet I didn't drive it.
