Could someone help me with the spec of the wheel nuts used on the O.Z. splits please? I know the thread is 12mm but I need the other dimensions for both the pre-cat 2 piece wheels and the LE spec 3 piece ones as they are different and I have both, but no nuts! There appears to be many shapes and sizes to choose from and I'm just not sure.
I would also like a centre cap locking bolt so that I can machine up some nice shiny stainless ones and I would gladly make a set free for anyone who can help. PM me if you prefer. Cheers, Mike

Mike,
I've got an original one if thats what you want but can I find the tool - no I bloody can't.
From memory the standard studs fit under the one end (can't recall if front or rear, and you need a shorter nut (about 1/2 length) for the other end - I think mine were a Ford nuts (got them from a factors) but were open at the end so you can still see the stud through the end.

If you need help.. I've got some nuts I got made up from old knaered ones ( I still have)..... they don't work with the original tool as they are a very tight fit, and click to to position with the tool I had made (very precise)

I'm not sure if you're still interested but I've just removed all these bolts from my car and have them sat on the side if you need to borrow an example of each. I believe they are all original (I even have the original OZ wheel centre key if that would help) and all in decent 21 yr old condition.

Hi Steve, thanks for getting back. No mail here I'm afraid, I'm guessing you haven't had mine then either. Looks like my PH mail isn't working as I haven't heard from either you or Paul and sent to you bothfrown

Thanks again, Mike

Can the wheel centre ' locking' bolts be made with a hex or tork type head as the flaw in the original design is the removal tool, imho, as its very difficult to use without buggering up the head after a few goes.

Thread resurection.....can someone please help me identify the correct nuts for the 2 piece pre cat wheels. The nuts I have do not seem to engage enough threads on the wheel stud.
