What are your opinions on the better damper spring set up?
I've got gaz golds on mine, looking for a different set up that isn't as frantic on the road. The gaz set up was fine on the Curborough sprint cicuit with non of the undulating surfaces of the roads in the UK !
Not sure if it would make any difference, but im converting manual rack to power?

Ohlins intrax. How deep are your pockets?

Whether the high end stuff actually suits your needs thats another question.

It wouldn't be used for loads if track days. Just to make it behave itself more on the roads.

Not particularly deep pockets! I was in two minds whether to sell my griff or keep it and uprate it.
I'm puting a power rack on, so may as well make it handle/behave better.
I know a mate of mine put" racing reds "on his griff, handled nice but I think they are no longer available?

As said most will recommend what they have fitted, my Protech units are a good budget unit and ok for road use, if I tracked the car I'm pretty certain I would need something else .....
So your use or intended decides your budget.

Agreed about most recommending what they went for - it's natural to defend your own choice, unless they're really crap. There's a big difference though, between being 'ok' and really changing the way the car behaves. IMO, of course.

Next week I'll have a set of the new 46mm Pro Nitrons.

I'll have had OE, Pro-Techs, GAZ Golds and GAZ Monos over the years.

I'll let you know what's best.

Looking forward to that report Peter. When you do report back, can you also recommend road as well as track use?

Thanks

Karl.

Chris,
About the best we've found is Nitron dampers and Eibach springs (400F, 325R).
Not the cheapest option but we've noticed a big difference which I believe is worth the differnce in price.
