After two years I have managed to track down and buy back my TVR of eight years previous ownership. Gawd, how I missed the noise and manic performance. Tomorrow I pick her up for a 3 hour drive back. Due to the rear window stitching being shot it will be top down all the way rain or shine. ;-)

She's a bit dowdy after two years storage but as I know her inside out it'll be a pleasure getting her back to lovely.

I was going to get an Aston Vanquish then thought that for a sixth of the money I can have as least as much fun and with a known quantity and probably for the same annual outlay. (And the Griff stopped depreciating a while back) And then there is you lot on the forum as support.

I feel like a kid at Christmas. Probably won't sleep much tonight.

Congratulations, I'm going to sound a bit daft but sometimes cars seem to have a way of finding who they are supposed to be with smile

Thanks mate,

Lovely 3 hr drive back from the Quantock hill; M5-M4-M25-A41 and home. 176 miles in glorious sunshine. I snuck up on every other convertible en routebandit Never could grow out of doing that..byebye

It was a good shake down and now I have a list 18 top side 'things to stick back on/reconnect/set up properly/repair'. All part of what I have missed the last two years. haven't looked underneath yet but she'll be much the same after two years dry storage.

I'm one happy chappy right now.

Time to search the posts for how best to fix/get the parts for the above list.

Cheers

Oliver
