Just after peoples opinion about not reinstalling the metal pipework fitted under the heater. I'm thinking of fitting 'U' bends to put it straight into the Heater.

What does the pipework do?

It makes a lot more room for the fusebox (and that can then even be shifted a little to make it more accessible). I cant recall if you need 2 90degs instead of 1 180deg, but you need to make sure of the diameters ~ some of the pipes go 1/2" to 5/8" or 13~16mm IIRC.

You really need flex pipe and clips inserting into the heater box so you can bend the pipes to avoid the heater vent & stop passengers yanking the pipes out...

Early cars also have a heater bypass fitting, but that is just like a double pipe joiner so can be plumbed in as you couple everything up.

Thanks spend, I will check the size of the heater before I order the bends. As you can see I've already put new silicone hoses in (blue) and I've relocated the fuse box to behind the passengers seat.
