Bonnet Adjustment

The trailing edges of my bonnet foul on the windscreen rubber. I can see how the top of the hinges are threaded to allow adjustment of the bonnet but, I'm guessing because of the reaction between dissimilar metals these adjusters are seized solid.

Is this a common issue and is the answer just brute force? I seem to recollect some Leven replacement hinges but can't see these on their website.

P.S. No, I'm not trying to turn the adjusters with the bonnet still on!
