Where are you sending it and how much ?
Last September I sourced a local trimmer (only 10 minutes from work and 30 minutes from home). He does quality works and in his portfolio are several Tuscans and a Sagaris. January to February he done a complete retrim on a local TVRCC members Griff on my recommendation, made a super job and as I am close to his unit was able to pop in regularly to see progress. So he is SF Car Trim - http://www.sfcar-trim.co.uk
He prices are great as he is not VAT registered (therefore unlike others no hefty tax to add to the price), he is based just North of Colchester, see his website above.

Thank you for this post, I live quite close by and it could be the ideal place to get my Griff done, I look forward to the updates.
Hi Corky, if you are close I am more than happy to meet you with my Griff so as you can see the work first hand when its completed? Regards, PeteWell, the Griff was dropped of on Saturday morning, typically it peed down all the way there, stopped whilst there and turned out a nice afternoon!! It was great to have a chat with the guys and make those last final decisions. Decided to have the boot completely redone now in the same carpet as the interior, it's got to be done really.. I will be popping in regularly to see the progress and take photos (shall post these here). Also, whilst everything is stripped out will take the opportunity of tidying up wiring and fitting a new battery, the guys at SF said I could work on this at weekends so a bonus. Regards, Pete
The Griff 'is in the nude'! All stripped out at the trimmers!

I am going to lose the ashtrays in the doors and the cigarette lighter in the drivers door (this is being relocated in the hole on bottom of dash where the dash light switch was as it was not connected anyway, perfect fit). New grey seatbelts, Alcantara in the door cards with leather surround, boor recovered in the same carpet as interior, sun visors in leather etc....
Have the dash now so as I can recreate bracketry for the new dash. The TVR dashes are so flimsy in thin unprotected steel. Am considering mounting the instruments through the front as a bezel fit rather than flush (this will take away the need for all the complicated mounts and brackets), will see what I think of it over the week end.
Will post more pics as job progresses. Regards, Pete

Looks good Pete, nice and lightweight like that....
I remember talking it over at the Growl last year. Look forward to seeing it in the flesh when complete. Will it make the Growl this year?
Hi Moycie, yes I took loads of pictures of your Griff because I loved the colour scheme! Will be taking some of the colours from yours with some of my own. Am really looking forward to it being completed. Unfortunately will not make the 'Growl' this year as I will be at the Classic Le Mans event with a few of our local TVRCC guys, we are there for 4 days and have grandstand seats and pit passes etc, so looking forward to that. Oh and we have our fridge and beers already organised!! Regards, PeteI remember talking it over at the Growl last year. Look forward to seeing it in the flesh when complete. I think thats a good idea Pete re fitting the dials in from the front, making them a bezel fit. When you see what TVR did to the pre cat dash its a bit of a disaster.
Absolutely Carsy, have got the dash on a table indoors at the moment and what a load of kak the mounting of instruments and switches is, there is even black silicon around the back of the gauges to help to hold them in! Why did they not just surface mount onto the bezels! There is a series of little brackets stuck with araldite to lift the gauges up to be flush. With my new dash I am definitely going bezel mount from the front as I said above, means I won't need all the little spacer brackets. Also, as my new dash will be about 6mm thick, will not need the mounted spacer plate(s) for the switches as they can snap through the panel from the front, job done. The mounting stud on the L/H top corner I will fix into the aluminium backing plate of my new dash. As I said in the thread earlier, I am making a laminated dash - backing plate of 1.6mm aluminium, middle 4mm birch ply, front face burl walnut veneer - all water jet profiled one laminated!PeteGriff said:

Oh that's a shame, although I nearly went to the LMC myself too. Have a great time, it's a more chilled out LM24, but great for that reason. Watch out for Angry Jock on Maison Blanche!!The work you are doing on the dash sounds great - look forward to seeing it all finished. I did get the split roof done which is great, but my Griff has taken a back seat since I got a Cerbera...

Hi Moycie, thanks mate, I am sure we will have a good time! Glad to hear you have added to your TVR collection, keep me posted on how you are getting on with the Cerbera? I quite fancy a T350! We shall have to see. Need to build some more garages! There is always something to do. All the best, PeteThe work you are doing on the dash sounds great - look forward to seeing it all finished.
