Hi, I know this topic has come up many a time but could someone point me in the direction of doing the Cosworth brake upgrade on a Griff?

As the search on here doesn't work.

I am not looking to track race or anything, nor wish to upgrade to huge discs and four pot callipers...

Anyone who has done this upgrade with comments or advice would be greatly appreciated. As this is a modification I am planning next month or so, also good source of components would be good too.

Thanks.

Thanks, is there full part numbers for calipers? Or is it just the 888 / 887 reference to look for?

Have started looking for them and not found them. What Ford do they come off??

Thanks

I think the link provided says it all, if you have read it?

Quote from first page: ......second hand callipers from a 24v Mondeo as there the same as the ones fitted to cossie Granada’s (came to £40 of eBay)...." Just look for 887/888!!

Hi, I did look at article in depth and was very useful. However I searched wrong on 887 /888 instead of car model. I was just more concerned of buying right stuff.

I have after some more research found there is other ford options, can anyone else comment on their upgrades experiences??

Thanks

I did this conversion on my Chimaera - ran it 3-years in the TVR Speed Championship, changed the 283 discs once when they warped, but at around £35 for two discs, a brilliant conversion and fantastic braking capabilities with Ferodo pads.

There's lots of other conversion, but the 887/888 is simplicity in itself, with proven products at a reasonable price.

You pays your money, but in this conversion, you get a level of braking you only dreamed of IMVHO.

Done this conversion to my Griff 2 years ago, very cheap, very easy to diy and very effective, makes a huge difference for very little outlay.

Hi BarnFind
If the OP is not interested in these parts,I would be very interested as I have been looking to carry out this mod for a while.
Please PM me let me know how many beer tokens you are looking for.
Cheers
